Article 1. Purpose

The rules are designed to specify matters related to the operation of the Editorial Committee (hereinafter referred to as the the “EC”) for GEO DATA, which is created according to Article 5 of Enforcement Regulations of the Committee of GeoAI Data Society (hereinafter referred to as the the “Society”).

Article 2. Organization

  • 1. The EC shall consist of the Editor-in-Chief (hereinafter referred to as “EiC”) and a few members appointed by the President as recommended by the EiC.
  • 2. The EiC is appointed by the President as recommended by the Board of Directors.
  • 3. The Co-Editor-in-Chiefs (hereinafter referred to as “Co-EiCs”) are appointed by the President as recommended by the EiC.

Article 3. Tasks

The EC conducts duties related to the planning, editing, and publication of GEO DATA, reviewing papers, and the development of the GEO DATA, for which the regular Committee is held.

Article 4. Editor-in-Chief’s Duties

  • 1. he EiC represents the Committee and assumes general responsibility for tasks such as the planning, editing, and publication of the GEO DATA, paper review, and the development of the GEO DATA.
  • 2. According to Article 3 of the rules, the EiC convenes the Committee regularly and presides over it.
  • 3. The EiC reports matters requiring important decisions to the Board of Directors.

Article 5. Co-Editor-in-Chiefs’ Duties

  • 1. The Co-EiCs conduct the planning, editing, and publication of the Journal, reviewing papers, and the development of GEO DATA and serves as those in charge of the procedures for paper review.
  • 2. The Co-EiCs participate in the regular Committee as specified in Article 3 of the rules and deliberates and discusses the tasks related to the editing and publication of the GEO DATA.

Article 6. Term of Office

  • 1. The EiC’s term of office is 2 years with possible extensions.
  • 2. The Co-EiCs’ term of office is 2 year with possible extensions.
  • 3. The Editor’s year of service is from January 1 through December 31.

Supplementary Provisions

Article 1. Enforcement Date

(Enacted April 14, 2023) This regulation shall come into effect on the date of promulgation.
